The kick-off meeting was held in November 2009 at the FPSO Research Forum in
San Francisco. Discussions during the KO meeting resulted in a new agreement
as to the size and composition of field test samples. The scope of
work to incorporate full scale samples led the contractor to re-shape the
testing program as well as a six-month delay to allow for a uniform field
installation process. Lab and field testing since the initial delay remain on schedule. Multiple field rope and chain samples from Indonesia and West of Africa have been received and are being tested . Procurement is underway to secure a field sample from the Gulf of Mexico.
New members continue to join the JIP and now consists of twenty
participating companies. |
