Subject International Workshop on Advances Research and Development of Coatings for Corrosion Protection of Offshore Oil and Gas Facilities Marine Pipelines and Ship Structures: Life of Coating Materials, Repair of Coatings and NDE.
Performing Activity Colorado School of Mines
Principal Investigator Mishra and Olson
Contracting Agency Minerals Management Service
Estimated Completion April 2004
Description

The workshop was a JIP project conducted by the Colorado School of Mines with participation from government, industry and academia. The workshop will brought some of the leading persons in their field and discussed the latest ideas and methods in corrosion protection. The workshop on advanced coating protection focused on four areas:

  1. The transfer of information in this field;

  2. Learn about new technologies and materials to be applied in field conditions;

  3. Assess and analyze future needs; and
