Description

OTRC, in cooperation with Texas A&M, presented MMS drilling engineers and others (i.e., District Supervisors, workover engineers, inspectors) 2 seminars that outlines the basics of drilling extended reach and/or multilateral wells. The seminars did cover the new advances in these fields as closer examination of well control procedures and potential problems and risks. Two workshops were presented;

1st workshop was in Camarillo, California  on November 21, 2002, and the 2nd workshop was presented in New Orleans, Louisiana on December 5, 2002, at each MMS office.

Progress The seminars were presented in November and December 2002.
