Technology Assessment & Research (TA&R) Program

Project Number 212
Date of Summary December 31, 1993
Subject Deep Water Subsea Conceptual Studies, Phase 1
Performing Activity Texaco Inc.
Principal Investigator Mr. Curtis Burton
Contracting Agency Minerals Management Service
Estimated Completion Complete
Description To develop a generic cost effective subsea oil and gas production system design for deepwater operations in the Gulf of Mexico.
Progress Complete. A difficult economic environment and the technical uncertainties associated with Gulf of Mexico deepwater developments requires cost effective design. Texaco is developing a design for a generic system--a system with functional capabilities, production capacity, and economic restraints, that are adaptable to a range of operating conditions.
This is a proprietary project, the reports may not be available for release, at this time.
