Description The goal of this project was to perform a review of mooring design codes by The American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), The American Petroleum Institute (API), Bureau Veritas, Det Norske Veritas (DNV), The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) (subject to the draft code being made available by the U.K. Health and Safety Executive for use by this project), Lloyds Register of Shipping, The Norwegian Maritime Directorate (NMD), and the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate. The scope of the review included: design environmental conditions, methods of analysis, assumptions, special considerations, and moored design criteria.
