Sperm Whale Seismic Study (SWSS)

Summer Breeze Daily Reports - July 20, 2005

Summer Breeze photograph with the R/V Gyre in the background. This photo is of the sailboat Summer Breeze docked at the Texas A&M University (TAMU) Galveston Small Boat Basin. Summer Breeze went into Galveston on 15 July so that starter motor could be repaired. The oceanographic ship R/V Gyre that was used to support SWSS fieldwork 3-30 June, along with two TAMU-Galveston vessels used for Galveston Bay fieldwork, can be seen in the background.

Summer Breeze is expected to remain in Galveston through 22 July, by which time we all hope the starter motor repair will have been completed and a science crew change accomplished.
