1996 MINERAL REVENUES REPORT AVAILABLE
FROM MINERALS MANAGEMENT SERVICE
The U.S. Department of the Interior's Minerals
Management Service has published the Mineral Revenues 1996 Report
On Receipts From Federal And Indian Leases. It is now available
in both electronic and print versions.
The 148-page publication reports on the 1996 activities of the
MMS Royalty Management Program, including collection of $5.5
billion in bonuses, rents and royalties from Indian and federal
offshore and onshore minerals leases. The annual report also
offers tables and statistics related to the generation,
distribution and history of revenues obtained under this program.
Among the information offered are sales amounts, values and
royalties for a variety of minerals in individual states.
The 1996 publication, as well as earlier editions, is now
available through MMS's Internet site
