The comment period for the Maryland RFI closed on January 10, 2011. Comments received include the following:

The
State of Maryland has issued a Request for Expressions of
Interest and Information (RFI) with regard to the potential
for offshore wind energy development.
|
|
|
The purpose of the RFI
was to assist the
State and the Maryland Energy Administration to assess the State’s
options for offshore development of its wind resources. The deadline
for responses closed on March 1, 2010.
|
|
|
The BOEMRE held its first task force meeting with the federal,
state, local and tribal governments. The goal of the task force
is to facilitate intergovernmental communications regarding OCS renewable energy activities. Files from the first Maryland Task Force meeting on April 14, 2010 are below:

The second Maryland task force meeting was held on July 14, 2010 in Annapolis to present and discuss a draft Request for Interest (RFI). Files from the second task force meeting are below:

A third Maryland task force meeting was held on March 23, 2011 in Annapolis. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss comments and responses to the RFI area as well and to discuss next steps of the leasing process. Files from this meeting are below:
