Outage of Pay.Gov for electronic fee payments, Friday, September 28, 2007; through Sunday, September 30, 2007

Due to fiscal year-end close, MMS will disable Pay.Gov forms for the last three days of the fiscal year. Pay.Gov forms will be disabled from 12:01 a.m., Friday, September 28, 2007; to 11:59 p.m. Sunday, September 30, 2007.  This outage will effect Pay.Gov interactive payments made through eWell.

The MMS regrets the inconvenience this will cause operators and permittees. Payments can be made through Pay.Gov both before and after the blackout period. MMS suggests that companies pay application fees in advance of the blackout period, or wait until Monday, October 1, 2007. If an emergency situation arises, verbal approvals will be issued as provided in § 250.125 (c) which states:

Verbal approvals are occasionally given in special circumstances.  Any action that will be considered a verbal permit approval requires either a paper permit application to follow the verbal approval or an electronic application submittal within 72 hours.  Payment must be made with the completed paper or electronic application.

Additional information about the payment of cost recovery fees can be found on the MMS webpage at:  http://www.mms.gov/offshore/paygov.htm.

Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 Statement:

This NTL does not refer to or impose any information collection subject to the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995.
