Pipeline Events – 1999

Investigation: Complete Event(s): Pipeline Leak/Pollution

RigPlatform: Eureka Water Depth: 700 feet

Remarks: The 12" bulk production line from Platform Eureka to Platform Ellen/Elly developed a leak and was shut-in. The leak was verified by a pressure test the next day. An ROV was used to locate the leak and determine a course of remedial action. After consulting the U.S. Coast Guard on August 18, the preliminary spill volume was revised to 10 bbls.
