Spill Reporting and Investigations

All oil spills from OCS facilities must be reported to the National Response Center (NRC). To reduce duplication in reporting, only spills greater than one barrel must be reported to the BOEMRE. It is the Alaska Region policy to investigate any spills greater than one barrel.
