Citation: Bill Greenfield

The Department of the Interior's Minerals Management Service presents its 1998 Corporate Leadership Award to Bill Greenfield for his leadership capabilities.  This award recognizes his commitment and contributions which enhanced MMS's ability to meet its mission objectives.

Mr. Greenfield provided MMS (Policy and Management Improvement and Royalty Management Program) employees valuable training and work experience on natural gas marketing.  The result of this opportunity enabled MMS to work through peak and busy times of active hurricanes in the Gulf of Mexico and to participate with Amoco management in bid strategy meetings.

The special efforts made by Mr. Greenfield allowed MMS employees to develop a current real life knowledge of gas marketing.  Mr. Greenfield took the initiative to make this a valuable and positive experience for everyone.

These efforts reflect the unselfish and professional effort by Mr. Greenfield in promoting safety and corporate responsibility consistent with the intent and spirit of the Corporate Leadership Award.
